This book is very rare, even more so than my Ouke no Monshou and Candy Candy artbooks. I’ve had this on my wish list for over 10 years. Having seen the actual artworks before, I was a little underwhelmed. The page count and illustration counts is really low, doesn’t really justify the high price tag. I paid $100+ after deputy fee from Yahoo! Japan.

There are 56 pages total with 1 single sided poster. The poster is printed on thin glossy paper. The 40 full color pages are printed on really stiff semi-matte paper. This is terrible because the color/glue/spine/etc couldn’t support the heavy weight of the paper making it very hard to open the book fully. The other 16 pages are printed b/w on newsprint containing highlighted scenes from the manga. I like the b/w arts better. I think I prefer Candy Candy artworks to Georgie’s. The vibrant color schemes hurt my eyes.

I barely opened the book to take photos and the first 20 pages literally fell out. Nice, clean fall outs… This has never happened with my other books before, except for the crappy English version of Fushigi Yuugi and Ayashi no Ceres artbooks. Anyways, I took all the pages apart, scanned the full book (not sure what for), and reattach them using PVA glue and binder clips (can’t afford to dyi or purchase a $80 book press). The book looks good now but I wouldn’t dare opening them with one hand again lol.
